Project:
Marton Gate Manor Care Home
Client:
Yorkare Homes
Location:
Bridlington
Project Value:
Circa £613k - Electrical
Project Duration:
Early Contractor Interaction: 02.12.2022
Practical works commencement: 18th November 2024 to 18th July 2025
Completion: 18.07.2025
Scope:
Bridlington Care Home had just been added to Yorkare Homes, 16-home portfolio for Yorkare Homes, with
Carbon Synergy being the clients only preferred electrical contractor.
This care home project is a 59-bedroom development which was delivered under a new main contractor
aiming to reduce the traditional programme length from 14–15 months to under 12 months. Carbon Synergy
provided a full electrical package—power, lighting, fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, EV charging, data infrastructure, and access control.
Design was carried out in-house with the client providing early and ongoing input.
A key element of the project involved designing sympathetic external lighting due to restrictions relating to
adjacent woodland.
Challenges:
- Adhering to strict planning constraints around light pollution while maintaining safety.
- Working under a new contractor with a condensed delivery schedule.
- Ensuring smooth coordination between disciplines on a fast-moving build.
Key Takeaways:
- Environmental constraints were successfully addressed without compromising safety.
- Proven adaptability when collaborating with new delivery partners.
- Continued demonstration of value through speed and attention to detail.
